The Progress Report The ‘interprofessional’ in Australian health professional education: current activity and future possibilities provides an update on three connected studies focusing on the development and delivery of interprofessional education (IPE) in pre-registration health professional education in Australia. The National Audit (study 2) and the WA study (study 3) have been completed with final reports awaiting publication. The three studies are:

  1. Curriculum Renewal for Interprofessional Education in Health (funded by the Office for Learning and Teaching – OLT);
  2. Interprofessional Education: a National Audit – completed (funded by Health Workforce Australia – HWA);
  3. InterprofessionalEducationforhealthprofessionalsinWesternAustralia: Perspectives and Activity – completed (funded by Western Australian Health – WA Health).

This Progress Report provides an overview of findings from the completed studies. It also provides details of how study 1, Curriculum Renewal will be developed during its final eight months and identifies ways in which individuals and organisations can participate.
