The Department of Health commissioned CAIPE to prepare a set of case studies of interprofesional education in the United Kingdom which:
- included common learning in all or part of the curriculum
- involved three or more health and social care professions
- involved the NHS, Higher Education and, where appropriate, other agencies as partners
- addressed current NHS developments
- was subject to robust evaluation
