Following the 2016 ATBH VIII Oxford conference entitled Values-Based Education and Practice, a working group consisting of representatives from CAIPE, Oxford Brookes University and the Collaborating Centre for Values-Based Practice, has continued to meet with the purpose of exploring and developing the link between IPE and VBP.
Taking into account the conclusions of a subsequent IPE/VBP workshop which was hosted in Oxford during July 2017, the group has further developed these areas by setting up an IPE Network with the purpose ofclarifying the two-way relationship between Interprofessional Education and Practice and Values-based Practice. Such a network provides a helpful framework enabling more effective communication between network members and organisations leading to future research and workshop development. It is being promoted on both the CAIPE and Collaborating Centre websites.
The network is now live and you can access network details via the network section of Collaborating Centre for Values-based Practice website: Click here. The initial network members include all those who attended the 2017 workshop.
If you would now like to join this new Network then please email Jenette Sefton (email@example.com) and copy to me (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will keep you informed of developments via the network and in addition you will be able to contact other members of the network via Jenette. The network plans to host annual IPE/VBP workshop/meetings at St Catherine’s in Oxford.
Finally if you would like to be specifically involved with future developments you are welcome to make contact specifying ways in which you would like to contribute and be involved.
