Scott Reeves was above all else, a family man. Scott’s love of family extended to his work. Besides his actual family, of Ruth, his wife, and his children William, Ewan and Joshua, he also created families of collaborators, colleagues and friends and drew many of us into these close circles. Through his generosity and sociability he personally contributed to building a sense of community in our field of work and of research. This sense of community is much needed, given that our shared aim is to build bridges for active collaboration between individual professionals and health and social care workers, whom we know often operate too independently.
Now, after Scott’s sudden, unexpected and much too young death it is our time to give his family some extra support. We, his wider set of professional and friendship families, his colleagues, can return some of what we gained from our association with Scott, by contributing to this fund set up by Ruth. The fund will support the education of his three young children, which Scott was passionate about wanting the best education and future for his sons and it would be a fitting tribute to Scott, who contributed so much to our interprofessional community.
If you would like to contribute, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the account details.
Join us in expressing our appreciation of Scott tangibly by supporting the education of his three sons, William, Ewan and Joshua, which was close to his heart.
