Local authorities (upper tier and unitary) are responsible for improving the health of their local population and reducing health inequalities.
In the financial year ending 2019, local authorities will receive £3.215 billion public health grant for their public health duties for all ages. Also included is a list of indicative public health allocations for the year 2019 to 2020.
