A three day CAIPE/Patient Voices workshop has been organised to take place on 27/2/18- 1/3/18 . A personal invitation has been sent to present and past board members inviting them to write their own IPE story in 500 words. However, if you are now able to attend please contact Richard.Gray@caipe.org or Elizabeth.email@example.com
CAIPE is now offering student and service user members an opportunity to make your own Patient Voices digital story about interprofessional education and practice. We are looking for stories from service users, present students (Pre or Post grad) or newly qualified practitioners to participate in a digital storytelling workshop and share your experiences from a student or service user perspective. There are two possibilities for this:
– a three-day (weekday) workshop running on 27, 28 Feb and 1 March
– a weekend workshop starting Friday evening 13th April and finishing on the evening of Sunday 15th April.
Whichever option you choose, you will need to commit to attending the entire workshop, which will be held near Cambridge at Patient Voices headquarters (Pip Hardy and Tony Sumner’s house). Funding is available for each person and will include costs relating to workshop registration, accommodation for three or two nights and reasonable travel expenses.
CAIPE students and service users have a wealth of knowledge and personal experience to bring to the production of a series of digital stories and they have the potential to enhance many aspects of IPE. It is intended that the stories will become a CAIPE resource and will be placed on the CAIPE website, as well as on the Patient Voices website for members’ use; they will also be used for marketing and promoting CAIPE. Many of you will be familiar with the Patient Voices digital stories. Their extensive catalogue can be accessed here: www.patientvoices.org.uk/stories.htm
If you’d like to learn more about the workshops, you might like to watch a documentary about Patient Voices here: www.patientvoices.org.uk/pvthedoc.htm You can also contact Pip Hardy via firstname.lastname@example.org
If you cannot attend these dates but you are interested in making a digital story for CAIPE please do let us know as soon as possible. We look forward to hearing from you.
With best wishes
Elizabeth Howkins and Richard Gray
